You Can't Miss It

"I left the light on." That is the note this small robot leaves in the sky, written by hand right into the art. It stands on a lighthouse island drifting through space and waves, while its warm yellow beam reaches past a ringed planet to guide one tiny sailboat home.

It is a lighthouse print, but not the usual one. Cut in a linocut style in cream and charcoal, with that single yellow beam as the only color, it feels calm and a little bit funny at the same time.

Where it fits

Hang it in a kids room or a space nursery, where the beam makes a quiet night light of its own. It also works as coastal or nautical wall art in a living room, a hallway, or right by the front door, where "I left the light on" reads like a welcome home.

A gift for

New parents decorating a nautical or space themed nursery, a friend who just moved into their first place, someone living far from home, or anyone who always leaves the porch light on for you. Lighthouse lovers and sailors tend to get the joke right away.
